So i've had a enough of backpacks for now, this year i want a cute tote bag to carry with me to school. Anyone have any ideas? I found a really cute Betsey Johnson one and i mean adorable but it was $60.....a bit too much for a school bag. Anyone know where i can find it cheaper maybe?

L.L. Bean

You can kinda like design your own tote on the L.L. Bean web site. And, they are way cheaper than $60

It is cool that you dig Betsey Johnson:)

I usually get my school book bags from The North Face. They're a little expensive, though. $50 - $80.

I have a Vera Bradley tote that I love! They also have other bags that are bigger if that's what your looking for. :)

Gap has some good bags, but I think they are a bit of a rip off.

bumpy bump bump boo

vera bradley bags are the ugliest thing i've ever seen.

check tj maxx or something, they have a good selection of bags, including tote bags.

A Betsey Johnson bag for $60? That actually seems cheaper than I'd expect. Anyway, check out ebags.com, maybe urban outfitters, or http://pixelgirlshop.com/category.php?category_id=49

do not get a designer tote for school. It will get stuff on it, like when you have to put in on the floor. It will get stepped on, and it will be used heavily. You can always get a basic tote and decorate it yourself. Its a fun project!

OMG get a cute Guess bag--some of them are really big, and you can always find cute stuff at Marshalls and TJ Max and stuff. Yeah I agree Vera Bradley is not as cute a lot of other bags. WEll some of the colors are better than others.

I third TJ Max, my sister got a good, basic designer brown tote for like $40

To each his own. I love Vera bags. They are cute, durable, and if they get dirty you can just toss them in the washer.

LL Bean Boat Totes (at least that's what I think they're called). A medium sized one would probably be good for school and you can pick the colors, all for about $20. It's rather plain so you can definitely decorate it yourself.

If you're considering something more bulky, I love my Timbuk2 messenger bag.

I'm sorry, but I must agree that Vera Bradley bags are simply hideous. I can't understand why so many girls have them. They look like something my grandma would use to carry her yarn and knitting needles. Not cute at all.

I also recommend the L.L. Bean totes. I got myself the extra-large one with blue and green stripes. The one I got zips, so it makes it a little more secure than just a regular tote bag. Even with $5 for monogramming :), it came out to about $40, which isn't bad considering it has a lifetime guarantee.
