<p>Has anybody on here applied for DAAD Rise Pro? I applied for internships in chemical engineering. </p>
<p>Looks like you will get in braumeister. I am a sophomore. Have a decent GPA (>4.0). The PhD student who contacted me said that my skills matched the skills required for the project. Hoping for the best. </p>
<p>I’m hoping for the best as well. Like I said, you never know whether the project’s going to be picked up or not. I’m not trying to put all of my summer intern eggs in this one basket, but it’s definitely the opportunity I’m most excited for. I have an interview with a local company next Friday, but if I hear back from DAAD, I’ll happily decline. I’ll let you guys know if I hear anything back this week. Good luck to you!</p>
<p>From what I understand, they rank applicants according to their GPA, and projects according to their popularity. So if you have a good GPA, you have a good chance of getting in. Similarly if you apply to a popular project and receive a high preference for that, you stand a decent chance. </p>

<p>Last year they went out on the 1st (from what I hear), but that’s no reason to be concerned. Sometimes they take a little longer to push notifications out. I’m sure someone will come in and let us know if they hear something. No Facebook group yet and I’ve been keeping an eye out on the forums – nothing yet. </p>

<p>Hey all. So I also applied to the DAAD Rise program for 2014…so if anyone gets accepted (or rejected) please pot, so the rest of us can run and check our emails! So nervous because I really want this! But I do have other summer intern options…so I can’t complain! </p>

<p>I heard that someone got a phone interview last week but nothing happened so far :(</p>
<p>I believe the acceptance e-mails are coming out tomorrow or Friday just before the weekend.( rejection emails will come out around March 20th). </p>
