Does anyone know whether we can send the Danforth Scholars thingy online??

I didn't see it. The whole process is pretty well hidden on the website, I think you're going to have to go paper.

Seems like I better hurry up with my application then :(

why are there no recs needed for danforth? I thought the danforth was pretty selective seeing as how you have to be nominated, but the form I got only needed a few essays.

Whoever nominates you for the Danforth (usually a counselor) must submit a recommendation on your behalf along with the nomination form.

why is danforth so hidden on the wash u site and does anyone know when we hear back?

crazyazn: because unless your GC and school know about it and nominate you, you cannot apply for it...Unlike Emory Scholars (which is on the website, but same procedure), Wash U chose to keep this under wraps (not unlike other things at Wash U)...Not bashing; amazing place, d loved it and is applying RD, but those are the facts.....Our school had NO IDEA about Danforth; oh well.....

well i would think that they could at least put it out ther with the requirements and then students could express their interest to their GC.

Can you use the same essay for Danforth as you used for the commonapp? Do different people look at it?
