Hi,
I recently received an email from Davidson saying my application was complete and in review. The only thing I'm worried about is that they didn't ask for my midyear report. Do they usually or does this mean they might have already decided my credentials aren't good enough? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your counselor is likely to have sent your midyear report automatically when your semester grades were published.

No, she actually didn’t so I’m not really sure what to think.

Davidson says the application is “complete” when everything besides the midyear report has been sent in… if you check your personal application checklist on the login page that they give you, you should see all check marks. I believe Davidson just looks at your midyear report when it’s available…first semester grades just came out for most students so they’re probably still processing your midyear report and will probably consider it once it is available. There’s no reason to freak out, I highly doubt they “weeded out” your application :)

Can you ask her to upload the midyear report? if you used commonapp, it’s required right about now. Most schools want it.

I emailed Davidson asking because a while ago they said my app was under review and online midyear report is not on the checklist like it is on most my other portals. Also, is the midyear report just an updated transcript?

Yes the midyear report is your transcript including first semester grades or the state of your grades in senior classes by February/March. You should have stayed within your previous performance and you should not have any D or F.

Okay, thank you!
