DECEMBER 2008 SAT Subject Test: World History

I omitted 21, lol.

I'd honestly be happy with a 600+ right about now.

lol zamxxx, that's exactly what I just said, almost. Great minds think alike ;)

Does anyone know the answer to the bunch of people bowing to that totalitarian person?

I said whatever about making society militant/something else. You get the drift. I think it was C or something.

^ This.

Use of the military to control society or something.

does anyone know the answer to the goal of hebrew prophets question?

The picture of people bowing down to the 20th century leader - cult of personality..Hitler, Stalin, Mao etc.

How about the textual passage about nationalism and under mobilization/military or something will wipe away all international conventions/organizations. Fascism?

it was the cult of personality

right, fascism

Does anyone know the answer choices for the goal of hebrew prophets? I forgot what I put for that.

The only questions/answers I remember are:

Shinto-way of the gods
Livingstone-Africa
fall of socialism in USSR led to political destabilization in East (not west) europe
homeric hero- i put something/courage/hospitality
and others already mentioned in this discussion..

what was the goal of hebrew prophets question again?

Also how does the sat subject test for world history compare with the AP test? if you get 700+ on the SAT world history, should you take the AP test as well and expect a 5?

Yay... I PWNed that test!!!

^ I pwned math, so I'm happy.....WH? Not so much haha

I can't really remember this one probably I omitted it ... what about that one of the name shiite leader ?

omitted lmao.

Maybe the prophet one was the same as the one about early Hebrews and what's special about them.

I don't remember the shiite leader question, can you clarify?

Also, for the Franks rejoicing passage, I don't remember Saladin being an answer, and I was down to Granada and Third Crusade, but both didn't make sense, so I put Third Crusade because it's closer.

zamxxx I can barely remember this one ...THE FIRST alternative was muhammed ali....

I think Hebrews were the charitable ones...a few people have agreed at the beginning of this thread.

The shiite leader for Iran (is that the question) was ayatollah khomemi (i know, terrible spelling).

How about those colonial questions?
-What was the center of Spanish control in the Americas?
-How was Spanish presence different than the British/others in the Americas?

Peru, not positive.

More centralized, bureaucratic
