"(a+1), (b+1)"
I disagree. I think its (a+1), (b+2or3). I'm pretty sure we already talked about this one on the thread.

Well, the parabola gave you a point at (-1,g), b/c all parabolas are symmetrical on the point of symmetry (given as 1, -1) and the point that is symmetrical to (-1, g) (given as 3,6) means that g=6. You now have 1 point and a slope (4) for the ray. Using y=mx+b, you find the equation of the ray
(6=4(-1) +b. b=10. The equation of the ray is y=4x+10. Plug in the x value that gave you and you can find that y=4.

Because through Parabola we get y symmetrically, so,...
It takes me 2 seconds to figure out after yesterday wonderful night with ScythianEmpire...

I know this might sound petulant, but I really feel like they should have expalined that .3# = p/t question better. I didn't really understand what it was asking or that the number had to be terminal and stop at the hundeths place so I just put 3.

That's a different question. your talking about how much water to switch from the jugs to make them even (your right). We're talking about when it gave you x=.3(box) in which x=p/q and you have to find the box.

according to cb.com, it says the 29th. i think because workers have off for christmas we have to wait longer... bahhh
can someone please explain the (a+1), (b+1) question??

that collegeboard website is so wierd.. i guess we'll just have to wait until the 29th.... i hope it has it on the 20th.. cuz 28 days is a loooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg wait!

can someone explain how you solved the triangle one where there was a big triangle divided into three parts and the middle part was equilateral and the base was, like, ab=bc=cd=10 or something? my brain was kinda fried by then.

i'm depressed. i want a good curve because math killed me and i wanted to get my score up 20 pts.

Thanks siubak. Does anyone have the given information for that question though? I usually ace the math but this is the first time i had to omit. Maybe i misread it, but this is the info i picked up:

The parabola has the points (4,6) and (-1,k), connected to the line with the point (-2,p). The slope of the line is 2. Find k.

I think it will come out on the 20th. For the November test collegeboard said it would come out on Nov. 20 and Nov. 29 and the scores ended up comiing out on Nov 20.
