yea you're right it does. but long into your my organizer thing and it says come back on the 29th to see your scores

What was the answer to If, (x-3)^2 = 25, then (x-4)^2 = ?

I kept getting x as 8 so my answer was 16 but 16 wasn't an answer...so I guessed 24 rofl.

plus sat scores usually come out on a thursday and the 29th is a saturday but the 20th is a thursday

The answer was 36. x could also equal -2

True, X does equal 8 and then you get 16. It could be an error, but can't you also do negative roots? X-3=-5 so X=2. Then 2-4=-2 squared which equals 4. Was 4 one of the answers?

@theprez:

i got 10 radical 3.

side 10 forms a 120 degree isosceles triangle. if u divide 120 into half,

u'll get two 30-60-90 triangle with hypotenuse of 10. :D

but some other people said they used law of sines or cosines.

they all work, take whatever you prefer:)

Rahoul.. it's -2.... so -2-4= -6.. and 6square= 36.

to whoever asked this question:

it was 0.35 because u had 1.5 on one and .8 on the other, and u need to have same amount in both.

1.5+8=2.3/2= 1.15 .35 from 1.5 and .35 to .8 :)

Rahoul, remember whenever there is a square involved, there are two possible choices: positive and negative.

EDIT

Can someone PLEASE explain to me the last question on one of the sections that involved a shaded box over the hundredths place? So far, I've heard 2,3, and 5. Also, please include as much as you remember about the question. I don't understand why it cannot be repeating. What if the shaded box covered up a ROUNDED hundredths result? The test never specified whether it was an EXACT or ROUNDED number/

was the bacteria exponential growth one MC or grid in? I can't remember, and could someone please explain it?

cliff, it was a grid in and the answer was 32

Ykim the answer is 2.. .032 .... 5 wasnt one of the choices they confused it with some other problem.

It was MC and the answer was 32. You're given the equation and you find that after 60 minutes there are 1600 bacteria. It asks how many times larger it would be since the beginning of the problem. You plug in 0 into the equation and get 50. 1600/50=32

Ugh, what was the answer to the ice cream one? It was either 30 or 50, but I left that one blank!
GlueEater, an isosoles triangle has 2 equal sides and the entire triangle has to come out to equal 180, so the answer is 50.
The shaded box one was 0.32. I just plugged them all in and converted to fractions on my calculator to see if the numerator has one digit and the denominator had two. :D

Did anyone get one question about an 80-50 isosoles triangle? I put that the answer could not be found with info given b/c we don't know which is 80 and which is 50. I'm pretty sure it's just that that E choice is.pretty rare

thats what i did makinitrain, lmao.

what ice cream one are you referring to

Okay, then why was it 2? I put 3.

actually we do know which angle it is. it's 50, there's two of them...because 50+50+80 = 180, the total number of degrees in a triangle. And yes the choice "There is not enough information to solve this" is extremely rare, which is why that's not the right answer. That question was I think the second of that section...which is supposed to be an "easy" question anyway.

well i think i did what you guys are saying, but i dont have 32 on my list of grid ins. are you SURE it was a grid in? i think it was an mc.

im afraid i made some stupid mistake. if it was a grid in, can you guys tell me which grid in it was? mine were:

720 - calories one.
.08 - x equals.
48 - carpet squares.
23 - not divisible by 3 and 5.
288 - number of students.
12 - i dont know what this one was about.
8 - i dont know.
480 - dont know.
1600 - largest value of x.
2 - line l/k (i was wrong).

so which one is the bacteria question.
