December SAT: Writing

"were we to have" - so say we all. :)

^ NOOO, that's what I put and then I ERASED it!

How many "E" answers in sentence correction did everyone get? I got 2 (I think).

i got three, but one of them was incorrect

was the experimental the one with the improving paragraphs about predators - ant lions? or the one with the band in Mo-town and their decline in popularity or whatever.

i'm hoping it was the former.

the one that was real was the motown one.

haha my exp was on a boy/dad being self-reliant and getting a stove. that one sucked, the questions didnt make sense at all...
"Even the sunday paper and junk mail are put in the stove"
Correct it lol.

Echelon can you remember how that sentence completely looked like? I don't remember if I had that section or not.

it was a sentence in the paragraph correction, so unless you remember reading about a dad who liked to do everything the old fashioned way, you probably didnt have it.

"Were we to have" = definitely right. I take Latin and though I'm not uber, the linking verb to use when we have a situation that's not reality should be in the conditional subjunctive case.

Clay Aiken: "If I Was Invisible" SHOULD BE "If I Were Invisible"

If I was president == If I WERE president

i got only 3 E's for error ID. i'm pretty sure i got them all correct. october i got -5 because for some reason i rushed on improving paragraphs and got -3 there

I got 4 Es :/

Maybe you guys should focus less on the number of Es you got an on the actual questions...or maybe you can just count the # of E's at an eyeglance _

yo guys what were your points for the essay question?

Mine were:

the role of women, homosexuality, and the role of america...all have preconcieced notions that need to change. Does it make sense, and what did u guys have?

I wrote about Walden and personal experience...I think homosexuality is sort of a touchy subject.

I said women also and made it kinda emotional also, and a book that I read, and racism against minorities. I was thinking of adding like personal experiences but oh I didn't think of them quickly enough.

I wrote about how technology changes our perceptions of things we thought were totally right, and then I talked about Crime and Punishment and how the protagonist has an epiphany of sorts...the effing proctor did not write what time the section ended so I just started writing like crazy and i finished with 8 minutes left (i never finish the essay on time)

i wrote about how our perspective of technology changed along history. I gave examples of the neolitic revolution when technology had a utilitarian use, i talked about copernico, colombus, emm and well modern technology as well I wrote both pages pretty happy about that

How are we certain that the Susan B Anthony/Motown was experimental?

Arghhh I did CRAP on that on but much better on the African one.

do any of yall remember the question about the crops that got destroyed by the storm when passing through the region. was when passing incorrect cuz thats wut i put?
