Decision Letters

SD: We all know you’re harisheena, so drop this ridiculous act. God, you’re creepy.

Pix: Lol, I’ve never been asked for an ID at a movie theater. That’s something new.

^ What ?!!
And how did you guys figure out this account is also harisheena’s (I mean, this would be his 4th, right ?).

In other news, I’m strongly leaning toward UIUC over GTech, UCLA and USC. UCLA and USC were already out. It was mainly b/w GTech and chambana.

I just feel UIUC would be the better place for me. Though I don’t think I would be allowed to go forward with this option. Everybody is of the opinion that GTech > UIUC. And I mean every single person I’ve spoken to thus far.

No USC compscifan? Oh well, I am likely not going there as well, although they made it cheaper for me to attend. UIUC is a good school. I know someone who went there who later got a scholarship to do a postgrad + phd program in a top 25 university. Ahh anyway what do I know about engineering schools?

For me it comes down to 3: USC vs Swat vs HKU
USC because it’s slightly cheaper than Swat and HKU because it’s CHEAP! and close to home and convenient, I can be with my mommy and I can eat masala dosa every day :p

@pix Wow admire your bravery to go for Black Swan. I chicken out for any movie without a happy ending

@PD: No he’s not Harisheena. The initials of his name are TG and he is coming to Stanford with you. He did get waitlisted at Harvard.

(UCLA>GT)>>>>>>(UIUC=USC)

@Tippu: You deleted that post because ???

^ didn’t want to sound dumb in front of more informed statements.
I am glad you read it.

Haha sounds like it was something directed towards me but okay!

^No, it wasn’t directed at you. It was something about masala dosa and poha, very silly. That’s all.

^ directed at me then? Haha I was googling masala dosa in the Philly area - don’t think I can go four years without eating it!

^ No, it was just a silly remark about having to settle for poha once a month if I stayed home like you.

One of my aunts live in philly (few train stops west of Swarthmore) and I remember her raving about a dosa place close to where they live.

Haha oh. Well poha is not too bad. Not my fave though. Oooh that sounds very promising! I will have to check this place out! Tippu, are you going to college somewhat near home next year? Then at least you will get some good food from time to time unlike me :(

I love Indian food. I can’t live without it. I mean not necessarily home-made food, but Mughlai is my favorite. God only knows how I’ll survive in college =(

Sometimes I give myself the creeps, sometimes my mind plays tricks on me.

Ani, we shall meet once (somewhere in PA) and cook some South Asian food. Prolly there will be some other guys willing to join.
God…I just can’t imagine four years without proper food. :p

Ah so three of us going to be in PA then. …I imagine becoming 1/2 my size due to food shortage :'(

I’m not going to PA! :D

^^I’m sure PA has a lot of Indian restaurants.

There’s no state which does not have Indian restaurants

True. But I’m not sure if there are many around the Adirondack Mountains. :p

I would disappear without Indian food. :stuck_out_tongue:
But not to worry smelly, I hear many Indian students get together to conjure up Indian food together on some weekends when the fancy strikes them. I know I’ll be doing it!
But I think Swat does not have many Indian students although there may be many of Indian origin. And there’s no gaurantee of their cooking skills.
(not like my cooking skills span wider than tea and maggi either shh)

Anyway, Swat has a railway station very near campus (i think on campus?) and my aunt who lived in Philly for some time (unfortunately no longer;)) said that it had a lot of good Indian eating options!
