Decisions: March 29th, ONLINE

Mrr, I've only heard from one place so far (Duke), but I've been obsessively checking the mail for a potential Dartmouth likely daily (only other school I applied to that sends LL, I believe). I kinda wish that I'd gotten an interview at Dartmouth, too, since that might be what's hurting me. >.<

Is Princeton releasing its decision via letters exclusively?

Read the topic title.

haha whoamg...to answer your question absolutely definitively, you will be able to view your decision online (I e-mailed and posted the response back a few posts).

Sphairistic - I didn't have a Dartmouth interview either and therefore I was pretty sure I wasn't getting in...Dartmouth only requests one essay and I didn't feel like they could "get a good feel" with only one essay and no interview. Apparently, I was wrong! I think Dartmouth treats interviews differently than HYP, because a lot of people who applied to Dartmouth in my city (and I live in a big city) didn't even get offered an interview.

And whoamg, nice. I'm glad I started the thread with that title so that people wouldn't ask and people still ask all the time. ;)

Congrats j07, I wish I could say I had that many meaningful acceptances. I only have 1 as it is, and I might just cry if I don't get any more on the 29th.

Thanks ungst. But you are mega-passionate (haha, mega) about Princeton and about everything and I hope so so so much that you will get into Princeton (along with myself, hopefully).

Who is not going to check any of their decisions on line and wait for them to come in the mail so they can prepare themselves for the decision based on whether it is a thick or thin envelope? (even though sometimes a thin envelope could still be an acceptance?

I just registered, and under "Check your application status," it just says "It is no longer possible to check the status of your application." Did I register too late or what? Or does everyone's say this?

It says that for everyone.

Everyone's says that. Usually colleges disable the online status check when they're getting ready to upload decisions to the site. 10 days :)

Time seems to be passing so slowly these days....I really hope I got in!

10 days!?!?!!?!?1
OK whenever I'm counting down to spring break or Christmas or something I'm actually EXCITED about what comes at the end of the count down. Does anyone else feel like this is...the OPPOSITE of that?

For me it's wierd. I kind of just want to know so I can move on with my life being really anxious all of the time. But I totally understand you, j07. Many people are afraid of having their dream stolen from them lol.

I think your countdown is wrong. it's 5 hours off for me.

Are you in the same time zone as whoever made the countdown?

no, but shouldn't it be the same? Aren't all the decisions released at 5pm EST? I suppose that the site could change for time zones.

Well if they're released at 5 EST that means 4 PM central and 2 PM in California and so on and so forth. So really, the farther West you are, the earlier you get your decision compared to the rest of your day.

I think that countdown is right.
