That one is right. It is pretty much exactly the same as the one I have going on my computer lol.

Are you going to let anybody look over your shoulder while you're checking it? I think I'm going to make everyone get out of my house so that they won't be able to see my reaction and I can surprise them.

Or...be upset.
Hopefully, surprise them!

There are very, very few people whom I feel comfortable enough with to let them stand over my shoulder as I click. Definitely couldn't have my parents or my best friends--too much pressure. I can think of 2 or 3.

Yeah, that's why I'm not even going to tell my parents I find out on March 29th. Or if they already know (which they probably don't), I'll just tell them that it hasn't come yet. That way, if I get rejected, I can kind of sleep it off and then be like "oh yeah, P.S., no go," and if I get accepted, they'll just know from my excited screaming/running around the house crazily.

These timers , I think, read where you are and are therefore accurate only if you are in the same time zone (and the timer was set correctly in the beginning). This timer is off for me about four to five hours too fast. Ungst is right. The time elapsing before 5 PM EST should be the same irrespective of the time zone.

Aparently the site I used is automatically on CST- I apologize. The second timer is the correct time.

Clearly I'm not Princeton Material :P

(PS, no, they don't auto adjust)

Haha oh arbiter. Clearly you are Princeton material because you took the initiative to even make a countdown. Yay!

If all it took was initiative they'd be paying me to attend :P

Oh wait, if I get in...

Which you will, duh, we all are.

:D I really, really hope so.

Anywho, I have a feeling that the next week and a half is going to be the slowest week and a half ever.

That's why we have:
a) games
b) CC
c) each other!!!

AAAGH

I got that e-mail too but I'm leaving for Hawaii on the morning of the 29th...

I guess I have to wait 'til Easter to find out...

oh dude that sucks. i'm sure you'll find an internet cafe there. but it might ruin your vacation... or make it. :P

We have internet here; not everyone lives in a grass shack ;) . Where in Hawaii are you going?

O man! no laptop/wireless internet you can use? I would find some random buisnessman at the airport if I were you. Or have a friend check/call. I would probably try the first option.

Haha I can just see a harried bleary-eyed CCer accosting some poor innocent businessman..."PLEASE SIR! PLEASE! I NEED TO CHECK MY PRINCETON DECISION! PLEASE! I'LL PAY YOU!"

Perhaps you can proposition them with a Starbucks shot of espresso...or a good knock-knock joke.

I would call and ask a friend. Not just any friend though. I can only think of like...1 or 2 people in the whole world that I'd feel comfortable asking.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to do. On decision day I'm going to log in, close my eyes, and ask this good friend of mine to tell me the decision. I'm way too nervous and I trust the dude a lot.

Yeah but waht if they had to tell you you didn't get in?
That would be so difficult for me to do to any of my friends.
Then again, if they told me that I got in, I would probably marry them.

yeah I wouldn't want anyone to tell me for sure. There is probably some way to have your computer check your decision and send it to your phone. Try the MIT board lol.

Haha well I had this friend right next to me when checking my SCEA decision at another school, when I got deferred I actually was really glad he was there. He's way supportive and real. Plus he already got into college ED so there's none of that awkward competition.
