Decisions: March 29th, ONLINE

hahaha, i guess it would be easier to ask some totally random person to read it to you. perhaps that's what i'll do...

Haha I can just see a harried bleary-eyed CCer accosting some poor innocent businessman..."PLEASE SIR! PLEASE! I NEED TO CHECK MY PRINCETON DECISION! PLEASE! I'LL PAY YOU!"

[/quote]

hahaha the business man would stare at the person like ***?! but imagine if he happened to be an alumnus. that could be cool or very, very bad. :P

"That's why we have:
a) games
b) CC
c) each other!!!"

We should probably get a chat room going in the heat of the anticipation.

that would be awesome!

Any Idea when they'll be mailing the letters?

Probably the same day they release decisions (maybe the day before though--28th?)

jon, I'm guessing they will mail them the 28th, judging from early decision.

Right...We expected decisions to be released on the 15th, and they mailed them the 14th.

will being in the columbia science honors program or taking a class at a local college help?

Help get you in? Yeah, it'll help, but unless it's utterly spectacular, it'll just be a component of what needs to be an all-around strong application

Yeah, I am going to be on the west end of Maui, Lahaina area... and I don't know, I guess I could go to an internet cafe but that would be an unfortunately happy place to receive ****ty news...

So I think I might just wait til I get home.

I think I'm going to come home from school and try to look it up as discreetly as possible (like that could happen...). I'll check Yale first, then Princeton.

10 days, 19 hours, 32 minutes.

By the time this thing goes down, I'll be so nervous that I'll be shaking like a 7 year old girl watching "the hills have eyes 2."

My goal is to dedicate my 1000th post for my decision (my 500th was for a deferral :(). It's nice to have CC to relieve stress.

ive taken 4 honors and have begun a research project so far. next year i will be taking 4 a.p's in addition to differential equations. i hope i get in to the Columbia science honors program. i didn't get in freshman year. its so selective. oh ells maybe after having 2 more years of science and math under my belt my chances might be higher.

the 29th is soon. Princeton has become my top choice after MIT waitlisted (MIT has been nuts this year, so waitlisted is actually encouraging for my Princeton chances). If no princeton, i'll have to go to duke :-(

Ahhhh, March 29th is gonna be a tough day--not looking forward to it. I've got six schools, five of my top five, in the Ivy League, so.. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed until then!

Has anyone else who applied to several Ivies already worked out the precise order they're going to check in? I'm a wee bit obsessive, so I have. :-)

(Brown, Dartmouth, Penn, Harvard, Princeton, Yale) XDDD

I don't really have an order. I'm just going to check randomly throughout the idea (have everything up, and refresh once in a while).

My unofficial order is Princeton (I got deferred, so I'm expecting a rejection/waitlist), Penn, Brown, Yale, Harvard, and Dartmouth. That way, if I get rejected 5x in a row, I'll still have Dartmouth to feel really happy about ^_^ And sphairistic, we applied to the exact same schools!

I've no idea what order I'm checking, but my favorite safety doesn't get back in till the 31st, so I automatically have the "feel good net". I'm just hoping I don't go 2 for 11, I don't think I could take that (2 definite safeties).

I'm just going to have various tabs open, and I'll check all simultaneously. That way it will be quick and painless. :D
