I don't have any definite safeties , but I'll probably just check all of mine in the order they come in.

I'm going with cameliansinensis, after two rejections (Stanford & MIT), and one acceptance (Mich), I'm just going to spend the 29th frantically posting on CC and working myself into a frenzy :D while waiting for results to come in. That being said, I'm receiving 7 colleges on the 29th so I anticipate a bit of a nervy day.

Oh, yes and I'll have 8 tabs open with auto refreshes coded in, I mean obviously! :)

How do you auto refresh?

Ooh, I hadn't thought of multiple tabs...

multiple tabs...the magic of firefox :D

And the new internet explorer!
But anyways, I am having a "college rejection party" with my friends on March 29th. :D They can jump and scream with me really loud if I get in... or just watch me cry, lol, if I don't. Though I don't think I'll be that devastated.

And how about the magic of Safari? :)

New IE still sucks. It breaks HTML and doesn't even fully support CSS2 nor XHTML (won't even parse XML), but at least they fixed the box model (padding is no longer included in element width, finally). Overall, I'm going to say that the best browser is Firefox, but Opera (it's free, go get it) has a blazing JavaScript rendering engine which beats even Rhino (what Mozilla uses). Dunno about Safari, but it can't be bad; IIRC it's a mod of Konqueror (the main Linux browser) and is slightly optimized and improved. As long as you don't use IE, you'll be fine.

Ahhh... I just got waitlisted by Caltech. No acceptances (but no rejections!) yet.... come on Princeton...

It's been kinda nice...I just got an acceptance letter from my other safety, so I've been accepted to 3 out of my 7. I hope this trend holds through the beginning of April!

wait-listed on Wash U in St. Louis :(

Applied to 11 schools, got into 4 so far, but Princeton is the crown jewel of them all...

"And how about the magic of Safari? :)"

I'm using it.

Does anyone know when Princeton will mail out decisions and when they are likely to be received?

lol, tabs are definantely the magic of any browser who has them. But it would suck if I end up getting multiple rejections at the same time.

edit: collegebound5, based on when princeton mailed out the early decision letters, I am thinking decisions for RD will be mailed out april 28th or 29th. (forgot to add this: when you recieve the letter will be based on how good your local post office is. I recieved my letter 2 weeks after everyone else.)

2 weeks?! that must have been extremely frustrating, rotor_bird

it was frustrating. I did call on the following Tuesday to find out I was deferred, but I would have liked to have found out through the letter or at least received it in a decent amount of time. Good thing Princeton is going online for RD! :D

Thank you Rotor-Bird. Do you think that acceptances come faster ie. through priority mail and waitlists or rejections in regular mail?

To IE users...will you have the courage to use tabs and then click where you can see small versions of the tabs at the same time? which means seeing the decisions all at once?

definitely use tabs-- check it all and end the months-long wait
