Decisions - Posted?

Are decisions posted online on April 1st or mailed? Thanks!

Online...but an envelope will be mailed as well.

If I remember correctly, the online thing just pretty much says whether or not you're admitted. Like a sentence or two. The nice letter comes in the mail. Then again I applied so many places I could be off lol

Thankfully, with the new system, you'll see more than just a word or two. There will be a short statement on the admission page (which will show up by decision day).

I did not receive any "likely" letter.
Does that mean I very little chances to be "accepted"?

Winner, see the blog. I've addressed this a good number of times.

I received this e-mai that goes like this:
"Thank you for completing your application to the University of Virginia. We
are so excited that we are one of your schools of choice. This time is one of
anticipation and anxiousness as you wait to hear where your second home will
be for the next four years, and I want to take the opportunity to assist you
in the weeks ahead as you make final preparations for college."

Is this as good as a likely letter or just a normal e-mail.

Also, if i'm chosen for a FinAid Verification process does that necessarily means that i'm gonna be accepted? (Not UVa)

^ That's normal, dude. Where in there does it say anything akin to the word "likely"?
The correct answer is "nowhere."

It means exactly what it says: "Thanks for completing..."

Hookem is right. Likely Letters are not sent by email. Who sent the email? Why don't you ask them your questions? They offered to assist you, after all.

Questions about another school's aid process really shouldn't be answered by me. I'd hate to steer you in the wrong direction.

^ Dean J,
I didn't apply to UVA, but I sincerely appreciate your insight on the college admissions process. I check your blog every day, and even post comments occasionally. If more college deans cared about their applicants the way you do, I would be much happier, much more patient, and much less apprehensive about this whole business. Thank you :)

My pleasure, Hookem. Best of luck as decisions come out. I'm sure you'll have plenty of great options!

haha here's hoping!
