Anyone know what the chances are of getting into a college once you have been deferred in Early Action. I have a couple of deferrals at this point and am not sure if I should start applying to other colleges.

It would vary by college, but definitely apply to some safeties.

you absolutely need to apply to others unless you want to run the extreme risk of having NO acceptances come April 1 and being forced to apply to a college that takes very late admissions.

Frankly, you should act as if all your deferrals become rejections: hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Any other course would be the height of foolishness.

Agree with the other posters. The usual advice about applying early is to continue to work on your other apps and have them ready to send in case of deferral or denial.

You need to apply to at least one safety school where you are assured admission, can financially afford, and would be happy to go to. I don’t care what kind of stats you have, that should always be the rule.

definitely should apply to other colleges. it’s best to be safe than sorry!

If I were in your position I would definitely go and apply to some safety schools or at least one. That way I won’t put myself in a bad position later on. Having more choices is always better. Good luck!

If you don’t have a safety school then you need to identify one and apply soon. A safety would be a college or uni that will absolutely admit you based on your test scores and is a college you can afford.
