Deferred- Next Step?

So, just like a lot of other sad people, I was deferred yesterday too :frowning: Here are my stats:

Decision- Deferred
White Male, OOS (Didn’t help me at all haha)
Intended Major: Astronautical Engineering

GPA: 3.91 Unw, 3.99 Weighted
SAT: 1880
ACT: 33 composite one sitting (32, 30, 36, 33)
AP’s: 11 taken by end of 12 grade
Scores- European History (4), Chemistry (2), Physics 1 (2), Calc AB (4), English (4), US History (5) Env. Science (5)
Senior Cours load: AP Physics 2, AP Calc BC, AP GOPO, AP Lit, Ceramics, PLTW EDD

Extra- Curriculars:
-Member of FTC Team 4082, the RoboSpartans
-Lead in High School Musical (2 year)
-Student Pilot (have 26 hours, soloed a couple weeks ago)
-Varsity Tennis Team (5 years)
-Varsity Cross Country (2 years)
-Treasurer of Natl Honor Society
-President of Physical Science Club
-Key Club, Leadership Core, Students for Justice and Equality, Photography Club

Work Experience:
-Assistant Launderer at a hotel in the Adirondacks (2 summers)

Letters:
-Couldn’t read it, but the teacher and I are really close so I think it was very good

Essays:
They were decent. I wrote my general one about my time flying, which I think is pretty “different” haha. For my “Why GT” I made sure to include very specific things about the school like teachers, courses, and research lab opportunities.

Other random info:
-Built an electric bike
-Was awarded an AF ROTC scholarship
-Organized and ran a talent show at school for charity

Questions:
1.) It seems like very few people get in RD. I plan on visiting GT a second time, would that help me at all?
2.) Because GT already asks for a list of the things that you’ve done since you submitted your app, what should I write in my letter of intent?
3.) How many other people are applying for Aerospace/ Astro engineering? I know it’s a pretty specific field so I’m curious who else is going into it? Send me a pm if you are!

I think your main problem may have been AP scores. A 2 on physics is not enough for Georgia Tech. Many with 5s on Physics C were flat out rejected, so consider yourself lucky that you have a second chance.
