Did anyone get into Honors?

<p>This may help your stress level: My son (now a jr) was accepted to UNC in the Jan first round of admits, but did not receive his honors invite until March--There is still time for you! :-) I think it is sort of a rolling thing... And, if you don't receive an invitation now, you can still apply later once you are already a student. The honors courses are good and usually have great professors teaching them, but a fair number of upperclassmen end up dropping out of the program when the honors courses which are offered for a particular semester do not fit in with their schedule and/or major requirements. I think the University is tweaking the program, though, to provide more choices in the future...Good luck!</p>

<p>At Scholarship Day, yesterday, Dave Meredith said that "If honors invitations are not mailed today, then they will be on Monday". Sounds like they are just now being mailed...</p>

<p>Not necessarily. I got a likely letter when I got in, but no honors invite or scholarships.</p>
