<p>haha I'd expect that more OOS students would get in it because they typically are a more competitive pool, but man, i don't even think that I can hope too much that I get into the honors college. seems almost impossible - one of the top 400 applicants to UNC? lol</p>
<p>Wait, are they accepting 400 EA applicants? Or will they extend Honors invitations to RD applicants before they've been officially accepted?</p>

<p>another note for those stressing.. I just remembered that UNC's honors program is a little more 'open' in a sense compared to most.</p>
<p>The UNC Honors Program is more open than most. Anyone can take honors classes, Honors Students just have priority registration for those classes. Furthermore, you can graduate with honors without taking a single honors class. All you have to do is write a senior honors thesis.</p>
<p>If you don't get in, don't worry about it. It's not the end of the world, and you can apply to get in again at the beginning of your second semester of freshman year and first semester of your sophomore year.</p>
<p>Yeah I think you only need like a 3.2 to apply for it later on. Not a big deal.</p>
