Did bad in biology in HS, could i still have a career in medicine?

So to say the least, i really didnt study my hardest sophomore year and didnt get such good grades. I got a B in biology too :/.

Just wondering, does this ruin my chances of pursuing a career in the medical field, or do i still have a chance?

Also, if im not taking AP bio junior year, should i take it senior year?

A B is not bad, and it won’t ruin your chances at getting into a good university(not that your undergrad school matters in comparison to med school).

And yes you should take AP Bio during your senior, also you should try and see if you can do an internship/volunteering at a hospital(it’s not something you need to do, just something you should do if you have the free time).

Should I also take AP chem my senior year?

I always wonder if these classes even matter. I feel like Junior year is the last year that matters, since colleges will only see semester 1 grades for senior year.

Colleges will look at the rigor of your Senior year since you will self-report the classes you are taking on college applications. It could have a huge impact on your college acceptances if the AdComs believe you are slacking off Senior year. If you plan to go into a STEM field, I would take AP Chem especially if you have no Chemistry class in your prior years. Most colleges want to see a Chem, Bio and Physics class.
