Did I make the wrong decision??

Hi guys so I’m a current senior at a Jesuit high school in Cleveland, Ohio. I recently completed my application and was very happy with my essays and my application as a whole. However, i feel that I really hurt my application by sending a really awful SAT test score back in January of 2015. Someone told me that I should just send them all since Notre Dame superscores, so I decided to listen and do that. Little did I realize that I struggled to pick up my SAT score (and wasn’t able to) and switched over to the ACT. Thankfully, I did score a 33 on the ACT (34 E, 36 M, 29 R, 34 S) and submitted that. But how much will my SAT score of 2020 hurt me (about a 1310 M & R)??? Thanks.

From what I recall hearing in an informational meeting, they will use the higher score if both ACT and SAT are submitted in the admissions process. You shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Best of luck!

Okay that’s great news thanks so much!

agreeing with IvyHopeful98, don’t worry about it. Had almost identical SAT and ACT 2 years ago, they look at the highest score.

Wonderful thanks guys!

First, get a grip…a 2020 SAT score is not “really awful.” Second, ND use your higher ACT score.

^ I agree it’s not awful, but i think we know what wildcat64 meant. To schools like ND, scores like 2020 are just frankly not competitive. Sure, people have gotten into ND with lower scores, but exceptions exist in various forms.

Sorry Happy1, it came off the wrong way. I meant it like XAtlas said: “it’s not competitve.” However, I’m not to worried about it anymore and whatever happens happens.
