Argh, I have a huge problem. I had three art assignments for a Portfolio class I'm taking next year -- I have to draw three different pieces (18"x24" though... they take around 20 hours each for me!) and I only have ONE done. And I have three more days before school and AP English essays to finish. Yes, blame me - I'm a slacker to the extreme.

But I took an oil painting class just last week and I have an OIL painting that fits the criteria for one of the pieces of summer homework for my Portfolio class.

Now, the description on my summer assignment says, "All three drawings will be done on white drawing paper... use LEAD PENCIL for all drawing and shading. There are a variety of pencils avalible from very soft and dark to very hard and light. Use your favourite...." and so forth.

Do you think I could submit the painting as one of my pieces instead of doing ANOTHER drawing? The theme for the piece is "reflection", and my painting is of the sky's colors reflecting onto a beautiful lake and such so I thought it fit perfectly... it didn't even occur to me to use this piece instead of another drawing at first.

Do you think the teacher will be upset? :( I'm trying to do EVERYTHING to get a hold of him and ask but he seems to be absent for the whole summer!

AAAAH :(
