I have a 35 ACT and a 2020 SAT. I took the SAT while I was sick. I didn't know what the test really was, and thought that I needed it for out-of-state. (I had never even heard of the SAT until January of this year, it's a mid-west thing) It was my only chance, so I thought, took it anyways, and bombed it. Will admission's see my ACT, and SAT IIS (800, 800, 750) and understand?

I'm almost in the same boat. My SAT is not comparable to my ACT, and I'm wondering whether to send my SATIIs to schools that don't require them.

They're on my transcript, so ya. Are you from a mid-west school that doesn't emphasize the SAT whatsoever. That's why I dislike the SAT I so much, if I can get a near perfect score on a fact-based ACT, then there is something the SAT is missing.

a 35 is supposed to be a 2370, yet I'm 350 points off.

Lol, I'm from Ohio. Our school is much more into the ACT than the SAT, but some students take both.

I got a 36 on the ACT and 2210 on the SAT. Not pitiful by any standards, just not comparable to my ACT score.

It seems to me, if colleges take your highest score on the ACT and the SAT I (even superscore) and the ACT and SAT are equivalent, then they should take your highest score out of the 2 tests, and not even look at the other one. I don't know why the admissions committee would need to see BOTH ACT and SAT I scores. They will just get a sheet that says:

Test Scores:

ACT: 35
SAT II: 800, 800, 750

That's it. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

yea....don't worry about it..

Most colleges (even Yale) will let you send just an ACT score if you took writing with it. You don't even have to send the SAT if you don't want to.

you can send in both and they will look at your ACT instead of yoru SAT I so you can show them your SAT II scores

oh and p.s. a 2020 isnt "bombing" the SAT.
