Anyone else as disappointed as I am as an OOS who didn't get accepted? GPA 3.9uw/4.2w with 1900 SAT and 30 ACT. Lots of ECs and leadership. Since the OOS acceptance rate is so low, I'm wondering how many actually apply from OOS.

Ouch…sorry to hear. I’m OOS as well but my GPA was lower than yours and SAT scores higher. What state are you from? It might be overrepresented.

TiredSenior, I feel your pain. I am IS with a PERFECT GPA. I have seriously not made a B in high school. I also dual enrolled and took very hard classes. I’m graduating with my AA this semester from Santa Fe College here in Gainesville. I went to the admissions office today (because of an ambiguous message on my status) and discovered that I was rejected. I am very happy for all those students who have succeeded in getting into U of F, but to be honest, the school is notorious for random subjective admission. Keep your head up and remember that your rejection is not a fair evaluation of who you really are. Did you really have your heart set on UF?

I’m OOS and just was denied with a 3.85 u/w 5 APs and a 33 ACT… Sigh.

victoria - I thought I had my heart set, but it’s adjusting. Just wondering how many they had to turn down from OOS. Thought I stood a chance, but after reading all the posts here, I realize there were many others with higher qualifications who were also rejected. Guess everything happens for a reason, huh? Sorry to hear your story, UVA. Weren’t you the one with pre-paid tuition?

I heard that they take 97% IS and the other 3% from out of state. Not sure if that’s true though. Where else did you apply? Have you been admitted anywhere else?

OOS with 32 ACT, 3.75 uw GPA, Florida Prepaid, very sad.

I’m OOS and was accepted with 3.75 u/w, 4 IB classes, and 1740 SAT/27 ACT.
