My daughter is a second year student and shoe has become more and more disrespectful. Sometime when I call her , she would talk to her roommate or friend and laughed so loud while I am still on the phone. After a few times I had to tell her that it is absolutely unacceptable for them to interrupt our call and for her to allow it . Anyone experienced this? My daughter used to be a nicer daughter . I never thought she would be like this today
Perhaps your daughter isn’t happy that you are using her CC account instead of having your own one. BTW, I do not think that College Confidential permits the use of one account by two people. You likely need to create your own account if you want to seek advice.
As for your question - while it is indeed rude to interrupt a phone call, you may be calling in the middle of some activity in which your daughter is engaged. Your daughter is a student which means that she is busy much of the day, and cannot be expected to drop whatever she is doing because you s=chose that random time slot to call her. You may be the one who is interrupting their activity with your phone call.
if you want to have a decent and polite phone call with your daughter, decide together on a time, and explain that,. once you have both decided on that time, you expect her to be engaged with you during that period.
Your daughter is 9mostly) an adult, and while you can expect her to behave like one, you also need to treat her like one.
