Do guys become more mature once they get to college?

I was just asking. I've heard that guys are even more immature than they were HS. What's been your experience? :p

It’s just like high school to me. Some people are really mature and others are really immature.

Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold.

^ Lol.

If you think guys are immature, you’re with the wrong guys.

I think it’s the case at almost every college where you’ll meet a lot of mature people and you’ll meet immature people as well. As long as you surround yourself with the right people and avoid the immature ones, then you’ll be fine. Or, in your case, only “guys.”

There are guys and girls both who are immature in college. It’s a reality. They’re immature in really different ways sometimes, but there will be those types of people.

Ha, no.

I’d say more mature than they were in high school (after freshman year).

I’d say I’ve definitely matured, but I am still kinda silly.

oh, and I don’t mean to imply that I’m only going to hang out with just guys. (just in case anyone got that impression)

I just kind of want to know if guys are less “jerkwadish” as compared to HS, lol.

Yeah, I’d say there are less jerks…but that really depends on if you go to bad state U vs decent public school. I know one of my backup schools I was able to find a video on YouTube of some girl intentionally being mean to someone else in the library during finals week. :/

Keep in mind, college freshmen and sophomores are generally still teenagers. So you’re all still immature. Just date eachother and mature together.

you will find both. I think you might find more mature guys than you could in highschool (mature people) but there will still be people there who are not ready to grow up. make the best out of your time at college and choose to hang with the right people. not to say you cant have friends who might not be as mature, i do, but like everything else, you have to choose what you want.

Remember how in high school there was a little more diversity because different grades sort of meshed together? Now there’s more of that and less of a disconnect between grades so you can find maturity not only because some people are more mature for their age but also simply because some people are older.
