Do I have a chnace with a 2.6 ???

Im looking into transferring in to Temple University Liberal Studies program. Do I have a chance to get accpeted with a 2.6 ?

If not what other colleges should I look into ?

Thanks IN ADVANCE

2.6 is a bit low, and transfer admissions are more competitive than freshman. My hunch is that this might cause your rejection.
But what do I know??? Go ahead. Try. If you don't, you're not getting in any case.

Where are you currently.

bs2 doesn't know what he/she's talking about. transfer admissions is significantly easier than freshman admissions for temple. you should get in with a 2.6. their acceptance rate is around 70%.

Well right now I attend a 4 year private catholic university and been looking at Temple.

My main concern , Since I already applied should I just apply as general studies (Undecided) ?????, whould that give me more chances for acceptance. B/c right now at my university Im i nthe Business schooll . I was thinking I could transfer the next semester if I get accpeted at Temple.

The only thing Im stressing right now is to right a good college essay .

Thanks again for all the replies

which university are you at now? (it really has a great deal to do with your chances)

What happened to good grammar... Lol.

Keep advice coming

Thanks for all replies Lads

If you have to ask that dumb question NO. I'm not trying to sound harsh, I'm just being honest. I think you should just apply to state universities.

sorry, but nerdyuscgurl doesn't know what she's talking about because she's obviously at usc and that is on the other side of the united states. i've been in the nj/philadelphia area my whole life. if you were apply to rutgers and psu, you wouldn't have much of a chance with a 2.6. i'm telling you man, you'll most likely get into temple.

forgiven,

thanks for the opinion

I know a lot of people here are i nthe top range of 3.6 gpa and 4.0 mostly .

Would Temple be considered a pretigious or well school ???

Know I just have to work on my essay , any suggestions ?

thanks again,

no, temple is not presigious

temple isn't really prestigious, but it's very well-known.. especially in the area. although, they do have great graduate programs. actually, my uncle graduated from temple undergrad and went straight to wharton for his mba. but anyways, even though temple isn't ranked very highly and isn't very well known world-wide, it's a great education at a great price in a great area.

forgiven --> it's a great education at a great price in a great area.

Great area...haha. I actually live at Temple (due to my girlfriend going to Temple) and commute to Drexel, and let me tell you...Temple is not in a 'great area'. Maybe a 'safe' area, but if you drive down Broad street a little, you may be in for a surprise. This is North Philly we are talking about here.

i know that, but i'm talking about how there isn't really much other options in center city if you live in south jersey or pa. you only have temple, drexel, usp, and penn. drexel is too expensive, usp has only specific science-related programs, and penn is penn.

I see what you mean now, forgiven. I agree with you that if you want to be IN center city, your choices are limited. But there are great schools around the South NJ/PA region. Like you said, there is Temple, Drexel, Upenn, but there is also Philadelphia U which is about 10 minutes out, (going north on Broad) St. Johns which is not too far, (Off I-76W) and even College of NJ (previously Trenton College) which is about 45-1 hour train ride. (Septa R7)

I agree that Drexel is expensive, and that is one of the reasons why I am transferring next year. Your marginal utility (bang for buck) is definetely low. Unless you have a nice scholarship/grant.
