Do I have to take the MAE if I passed my AP Calculus BC exam?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I took the AP Calculus BC exam, passed it, and UCR states on the degree check on GROWL that I already fulfilled/completed Math 009A and Math 009B, so I'm assuming that I'll be placed in Math 009C. Am I exempt from the MAE now? I cancelled my reservation for Saturday's test, but I feel stupid for doing it if it's required to actually take the test. I'll be majoring in Electrical Engineering, if it matters in this case. Thank you, CCers!

Nope! You are exempt are placed into Math 9C like me! Congratulations :)

@qAnton Thanks! I was worried for a second. Hopefully we’re in the same Math009C class!

You get placed into Math9C like the other guy said, but in my opinion, its complete BS. I remember when I took 9C, it was essentially Taylor/Maclaurin, Indefinite Integrals, DE’s, polars, and other stuff that you learn from BC. In other words, you’re just taking BC calc all over again, which is a waste of time. After the first week, I just stopped going to class all together, took the exams and got an A+, easy.
