Whats your opinion on ANF?

i like the brand.

you should just wear what you like.

if you like it, great. if not, not a big deal. but if you’re asking if ppl still wear af after hs - i think not as much (at my hs everyone pretty much wore af) but it’s still a popular brand.

why not? its just clothes. No one really gives a damn what you got on your ass so long as its covered.

I wear Abercrombie because it signals that I’m a High-Status individual who enjoys the finer things in life.

Forget in college, People still wear that crap?

Last time I was in ANF was about 6 years ago. I went in to buy a pair of jeans.

The smell and loud techno music is annoying as all hell - and the guys who work there are such tools.

I came out of the dressing room to look at my self in the mirror and some tiny lil ANF gremlin came up to me, dancing to the music playing in the store and was like, “Oh, hey - how do those fit”, then reached for my waist to check how much room there was - like how moms do when kids try on pants, grab the waistband and give it a jiggle.

As he made contact with my waist, I grabbed his wrist and asked him if he was effing crazy. After a severe verbal lashing laced with all sorts of insults, I left the store. Jail time was the only thing that kept me from shoving that stupid headset he was wearing up his butt.

In high school and early in college I shopped there a little bit, but has anyone else noticed that their clothes (same with American Eagle) are all made for tiny, short, skinny dudes? Everything is small, medium or extra small. And the large size fit like kids clothes.

I’m 6"4", about 225 lbs and was playing college football at the time (Tight End physic) - so I was built more athletically, and I couldn’t fit into any of their clothes.

I’m to old to wear their stuff anymore, so it doesn’t matter. I just can’t stand walking passed that place in the mall. I was on the phone with my wife while at the mall, but she didn’t know I was there yet. All of a sudden she goes, “Are you in ANF”, I said no - just walking passed it. She said, “Oh, I can hear the music.”

I see groups of guys walking around together, all wearing their clothes. It looks like they are going to a D-Bag convention.

Sure. From what I’ve seen, clothes aren’t that big of a deal in college.

Yay for wal-mart brand…

Wear whatever you desire, noone cares to much in college.

If you want to look like dumbass or a doosh go ahead.

“If you want to look like dumbass or a doosh”

lol the irony

edit: Don’t most abercrombie shirts look like any other kind of shirt, except instead of, say, a logo of a dude on a horse it’s a logo of a moose?

You can obviously wear whatever you want; I knew a guy at my old school who wore wooden bright yellow clogs everyday.

However, to expand my earlier post, I haven’t seen anyone wear A&F since high school. I haven’t run into a single person here that’s wearing anything (obvious–with their name or logo clearly over it) from there.

But in A&F’s defense (at least in my college), I go to school in NYC. And it’s pretty fashion-concious. A&F isn’t anywhere near in style
here.

Maybe at a college in deep Oklahoma–maybe it’s still worn.

hahahahaha

even more hahaha

i think just about anywhere you go you will see people wearing abercrombie. that includes college.

omg DEAD @ BIGeastBEAST!!!

I was going to try to give you a yes/no answer, then I realized I had no idea what brands other people wore, and I think that gives you the answer - most people don’t pay attention or care. Wear whatever you want - only spoiled rich brats care enough to notice something so trivial.

I own one polo shirt currently, and that’s it. No one cares about the brand. I used to really hate it b/c many of the Korean kids would wear nothing but AF and Hollister. I also HATE the smell in the store and the crap music they play. But I only got the shirt b/c it looked good and because it was on sale!

Honestly, no. If you put their polos up next to a Polo/Ralph Lauren/Lacoste one, you can see the difference in construction and fabric quality. The same goes for their button-down shirts. For guys, it may not be that noticeable, but I’m pretty good at guessing from afar the brand of people’s shirts just by how they’re made.

Not saying that if you’re looking to dress up a little that an A&F polo is a bad choice, just that there are better ones out there to invest in, if you’re going to be paying that much anyways.

Abercrombie is for three types of people:

1) People who are so skinny and waifish that they are unable to fit into other clothes (this coming from someone who shops in the kids’ section at nice department stores to find pants that fit)

2) People who want to fit in and are insecure

3) People who are not rich but want to show that they can spend money on clothing, but are not actually rich enough to buy nice clothing

**** it, Gap all the way

I don’t really like it. I’m sure that 75% of A&F’s sales are to college students, though.
