Do schools generally give merit aid to transfer students?

I’m looking to transfer to Northeastern University or Worcester Polytechnic Institute from Clarkson University. Does anyone know if those schools would give out merit aid presuming my GPA is high enough to warrant it? Or do they generally not do so even with a high GPA?

Thanks for the help!

Since your list is only two schools, email admissions and ask.

Generally, there tends to be less merit available for transfer students, but since you have a question about two specific schools, you should check their specific web sites and contact the schools directly with any additional questions.

You will need to ask directly. Both focus on freshman scholarships. Worcester offers a Phi Theta Kappa scholarship for transfers, but that is if you are coming from a 2 year community college .
