Do UCs care more about Major GPA?

<p>Do UCs care more about your Major gpa? My gpa for ge (like in geography, anthropology, psychology, english) is 3.3 which is kinda average, but my major gpa for my major which is biomedical engineering (from calculus, physics, chemistry) is a 3.7.</p>

<p>How do you think UC's will react to this? Some people say your GPA for GE classes will have very little effect compared to your Major GPA but I'm not sure. Anyone willing to clarify for me?</p>

<p>I assume you are asking about a transfer. In general, yes, Engineering programs are much more interested in your math-physical science grades than they are US history.</p>
