My 11th grade finals are currently going on, and I’m not a expecting a very good result. Probably around 80%. It’s really disturbing me and I’d like to know how I can make up for this loss. I got a 10 CPGA in 10th.
Downward trend is not good. But as always, they’ll look at you in the context of your school and your country. If everyone does similarly, no worries.
Yes a lot of people don’t perform very well in 11th grade. Is there any way I can make up for this? (I know I’ll have to do really good in 12th)
YES. 11th grade is the most important year for American University admissions. They will put a lot of emphasis on your performance during 10th and 11th.
11th grade marks are critical in the admissions process. So are first and second quarter (1st semester) senior grades, but all in all 11th grade is the pivotal year for college admissions.
Not wanting to hijack this thread, but how important are the first half scores of class 12? (The half yearly). My 11th scores were good (91.28) but my 12th is bad.
Do US colleges give 11th grade marks a great amount of importance?
YES!, it’s probably the most important year because you have a last chance to show what you are capable of doing and balancing in academics, sports, and community participation.
