Do you listen to music while writing your homework?

Hello everyone!
I used to think that listening music during writing an assignment will disturb and will not let you concentrate. But for last 2 weeks i listen to it every time i do my homework and i really enjoy it.
What about you?

I never do because I get easily distracted. I do quite well in quiet environments, but even if there’s a song going on faintly in the background, I’ll find myself singing along in my head when I should be focusing.

However, with more simple tasks that don’t require deep thought, music makes it much better. Who wants to fold and cut a gazillion note cards in complete silence?! Non merci. :D

Look, i’ve found this really great infographic, it offers you playlists with bands and songs for writing. Maybe you will like it.

I usually have music going, but when I need extra focus, I’ll just throw on some instrumental music (video game soundtracks, explosions in the sky, etc.) and sometimes put on rainymood.

If I need like 100% focus, no music at all. In fact I would want to avoid all sounds.

But in general yes but only to break the boringness. I listen to lyrical music btw.

Almost never, unless something is so easy I can do it without really paying attention. Otherwise it’s too distracting.

Yeah sometimes, Unless I have to do something that requires a lot of reading comprehension or math problems that I can’t do quickly. I like to listen to R&B, Trance, or Classical music when I am doing homework to not be so bored…Basically anything with a mellow beat that keeps me in a calm mood.

I’ll put on music without words. I get distracted by the lyrics. This means a lot of soundtracks. One of my current favorites for being very motivating is the Doctor Who soundtrack.

It depends on the song. Like if my fav and up beat, i cant help but sing along!

I listen to music regardless though

I usually listen to music when I’m doing schoolwork or studying. Generally I listen to my primarily playlist, which has over 800 songs of all sorts of genres. But if I find it distracting I switch to a study playlist I found via the Internetz. It’s quite effective.

Yes, when people are being obnoxiously immature in the library.

^ when that happens, I either a.) relocate to the quiet floor, b.) slug along and cast them dirty looks or c.) be obnoxiously immature back until either of us gives or until I realize I wasted too much time. :D

I rarely give anyone dirty looks. I lost my glasses recently, so I doubt I’d be able to see their faces react to it anyway. :P

Yeah, sometimes I’ll go up to the quiet floor(s), but I’m lazy.

I do quite frequently. I’m basically always listening to music when I’m at home though.

It helps me concentrate. Everyone’s different. Some people find it distracting, but I find that it helps to block out potential distractions.

I work best with music!

Listen to: NaS, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang, OutKast, 2Pac, KanYe, Kendrick Lamar, while studying
