this site destroys my life.
but it shows what the competitionis out there so I can feel more realistic about my chances
furthermore, since i’m only a junior (yay!) I know that I can change some weak parts of my app. So i guess i’m okay.

I just think about the fact that a lot of the people on here will be the best of the best (because honestly, you don’t see many average-below average kids taking the effort to go on a college forum). So I feel good to be at par with some of the smartest people.

IMO, if you have a 4.0 and still have time for 8,000 EC’s and sports, your school isn’t hard.

Nope.

It’s more fun/helpful than it is “demoralizing”–which it only is if you let it be.

I think I get motivated, because I see other kids do well + 100’s of EC’s, so I can too. Also, I know this is like the top 4% of all students…
so if I’m doing “okay” compared to CC, then compared to my school I’m doing really well.

I’ve learned about lots of stuff here: self studying + some competitions… different colleges… etc.
