Does anyone hate AP Lit as much as I do?

Forgive this rant.

My AP Lit teacher is absolutely miserable. If Lit was my only class, maybe I could keep up with the workload, but I have been constantly behind all year in most classes because of Lit. In the last two weeks, we have read three plays, Oedipus the King, something by Oscar Wilde, and Hamlet. TWO WEEKS. In Hamlet, we have gotten one day to read a full act and answer 7-11 questions on it that have to be “level 5 answers.” Each Act has taken me probably five hours to completely finish, and I have put all other classes on the backburner for this class. Not only am I spending all my time doing stupid English assignments, but the teacher than grades super harshly. I haven’t gotten anything above a C yet this quarter, and when I email her asking why she graded so harsh, she tells me I need to “go watch the videos.” This is an online class by the way.

How do I get through this class? Does it look bad to drop this at semester so I can at least enjoy half of my senior year?

I knew this would be locked, but it was definitely worth it.

Oh god… I am currently debating whether I should drop this class! It started a month ago and I hate it so much… we just read Oedipus and now we have this huge 400 point totally open-ended project that I have no idea what to do for and I don’t understand the play at all. It is horrible. So boring! Did you end up dropping it? I already got accepted ED to my top choice but I’m just worried that I’ll be kicked out if I drop AP lit cause it’s actually my only AP class this year lol…But, like you, I want to enjoy this last semester!! And take a class that I’m more passionate about! I’m meeting with my counselor tomorrow to talk about it and I’m praying that she says it’s okay to drop it…ahhh!!!
