Does anyone know when we will hear from ucsd ?

They were talking about their math class. The info was on the link you provided:

“Both UC English courses and the UC math course must be completed by the end of Fall term prior to Fall admission, and by the end of Summer term prior to Winter admission.”

[Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) 2009-2010](http://www.ucsd.edu/prospective-students/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/transfer/tag.html)

haha…w.t.f??.. whats then? 3.0+ gpa??

Unless you have a TAG, you’re not able to get guaranteed admission anywhere. I know! :X

I was told by an admissions person that even if you have TAG you still don’t have absolute guaranteed admission, scary.

^which is why they should just tell us whether we got in or not already!!

ok im confused…for the UCSD tag, were you suppose to sign something, besides indicating on your app that youre going to be done with your igetc.

so technically my question is, what was TAG for UCSD??

man, we should sue for false advertisement or something. the G in TAG stands for guarantee!

at iamlegendary:

TAG for UCSD is completing your IGETC and finishing ALL your pre-reqs on assist.org.

I assume u also need some type of min GPA like 3.0

@ iamlegendary:
this is the third time this link will have been posted on this page. funny virus couldn’t get it right either.
[Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) 2009-2010](http://www.ucsd.edu/prospective-students/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/transfer/tag.html)

sorry guys, i just want to get in so bad…lol…i didnt know about TAG until this i got on this board…haha

so yeah i didnt do all my prereq…so i guess i dont have TAG…that sux

It better come out tomorrow…it just better…

iamlegendary just read the link… tag has nothing to do with completion of prereqs for UCSD, that is why I said virus was incorrect

Majors

* TAG applies to general admission but not necessarily to an impacted major. Students must meet the screening criteria for designated majors that require lower division preparation prior to admission into the major

haha wow im more confused than ever…

my major is not impacted…at least i think its not…my major is cogsci…

ok heres my stats
gpa. 3.45
IGETC certified eventually
finished half of prereq…

did i qualify??

click on the link that jeffforceremix (spl?) posted on the previous page, there will be a list of requirements, print it out, check off the ones you have done and then you’ll know.

Okay Okay here’s how it works. You have to have finished your required IGETC english and math by the end of Fall 2008, and you MUST finish all the classes required for your IGETC certification by the end of Spring 2009, it’s that simple. (GPA 3.0 and 60 transferable semester units as well of course)

Also you should have indicated TAG/IGETC on your application, but I doubt it’s necessary, you can always appeal.

ok so i did that all that kkiji. but i dont have the pre-reqs for my major finished (some math classes required for econ)

am i still with TAG for ucsd, or is it voided if i dont finish those math courses?

note --english and math for igetc is finished, and igetc will be finished by spring with 3.0+gpa

Unless Econ is an impacted major you are TAG qualified. It’s simply a matter of it costing you more money since you have to take those prereqs at UCSD.

alright koo…i finished math and english …i will be igetc certified…and my gpa is above…3.0 and i indicated i will finish my IGETC on my follow up…i dont remember if i did it on the actual app…so by that…i have TAG?? someone mentioned i have to finish all my prereq tho and i didnt…

so which one is true??

i already read it twice…and the prereq thingy is throwing me off…sorry guys…

Impacted majors for transfer students:

* Engineering majors within the Jacobs School of Engineering

yayyy
