Does anyone think the Waitlist will be as good as last year?

nothing yet. It will take some time for them to sort through the applicants that are attending or declining. I say somewhere around May 7 to May 15 would be the days the release acceptances. I hope its earlier though

Has anyone called and asked them what they’re doing, now that we’re in May?

i heard last year the results came out around may 4-6. so maybe it’ll be the same this year.

According to this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-santa-barbara/914192-ucsb-waitlisted-me-my-chances-get-off.html

A guy got off the waitlist on May 5th

Any news yet?

Dear Waitlisted UCSB Student:
Thank you for your interest in UC Santa Barbara.
Now that the May 1 national SIR deadline date has passed we are able to respond to your request for admission. The number of students accepting our admissions offer has exceeded our expectations and, as a result, we are not able to offer any additional enrollment spaces to waitlisted students.
Please know that if UC Santa Barbara remains your goal our staff will be very happy to discuss with you future transfer options. We extend our best wishes to you as you pursue your educational goals.
Sincerely,
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
