Does everyone who has an interview always receive a handwritten letter from the interviewer? Does it mean you did well in the interview? Or is it a custom that every every receives one.

I got one in the mail

I believe so.

This was not the case from my son, who was accepted.

Both my sons received them.

Ditto on the personal letter, and it referred to things talked about in the interview.

I have to say that every exposure we had to Bowdoin Admissions was extremely positive. We visited campus and attended info sessions on campus and on the road (mom/kid, mom/dad/kid), and each time we left with the feeling that Bowdoin cared enough about their admissions to put clearly bright and articulate people in front of us. As someone who spent more time than I care remember listening to college info sessions, I greatly appreciated the crispness with which Bowdoin presented itself.
