I know Hamilton is very well known for its writing, but does it actually look at the writing section on the SATs when comparing applicants? If they do, do they consider the composite score or the overall score more important?

Hamilton is willing to take any 3 tests that you give them, so long as one is writing/verbal and one is quantitative. What that means is you could give them your writing section, your SAT2 math section, and your SAT2 American History section. Or whatever combination best suits you. Maybe you’d be best off just submitting your total SAT score. You can also submit ACT or AP/IB scores.

There’s a lot of flexibility, and Hamilton will actually select the best scores for you. So go ahead and submit everything, and they’ll put together the profile that puts you in the best light.
