i could fill up my schedule with classes.

i could also drop out one class and leave myself with a study hall so that im not so darned stress.

would having just ONE study hall hurt my chances?

I had one study hall too, as well as most of my classmates. We got into the colleges we wanted to just fine. Colleges want to see rigor, but they don't want to see someone killing him/herself with schoolwork and not having time to do other things.

Nah./***************/

I take one a year, I need it with sports and crap.

Shouldn't affect you.

If the rest of your schedule is challenging/fulfilling, go for it :)

It will destroy your chances everywhere.

Honestly, what did you think? There's nothing wrong with a study hall, especially your senior year.

I took a study junior and senior year, and I got into every school I applied to. It's really not a big deal.

Yea, I had two studies junior and senior year, didn't hurt me too much.

I had one study hall senior year, and I don't think it hurt my chances much, if at all, I still got into quite a few good schools.

I'd recommend a study hall if your courseload is challenging. Filling up your schedule with classes just so you have a full schedule doesn't really look any better.

I've known seniors that have had 3 study halls and got accepted in colleges they wanted to go to since they were kind of advanced. I agree with what starryblaze11 said "I'd recommend a study hall if your courseload is challenging.
A long time ago at my high school, there was a senior only class called Senior Study hall. Basically all they did was play pool and watch TV.

They still had people that went to top schools that took that class. I know at least one went to Princeton, and another went to Cornell.

Their final was beating the teacher at pool, which... from what I heard, wasn't too hard. (basically the professor just gave them all A's, kind of weird that they still got grades in that class actually...)

It shouldn't affect you... if you are OK with the other activities you’ll get accepted. As long as you don’t have any other problems, its not reason to get worried
