By the end of this year I will have completed most of igetc, although i attend a private 2year out of state. ( I am california resident however). the only class i will be missing is 1 physical science, which i have no intention of taking as it is completely unrelated to anything i want to do and cannot fit it into my schedule. If I get into a UC, will they make me take a physical science along with my upper-divison classes or does it even matter?

You will eventually have to take GE courses anyhow. You will eventually have to take a physical science course as a GE course required for graduation considerring you said you didn't need a course here I'm assuming your major is in the social sciences or the arts or a related field.

well that's unfortunate. I am applying as an econ / biz econ major for the UC's.

I am the same. I am a psych major and was debating about having to take that chem/geology class. (to complete the full igetc)

I decided it is definetely worth IT!!!!

because igetc will cover ANY g.e. that a UC says you must have for grad. PLUS its going to be a lot easier to take a science class at a CC than at a UC right?!
