Does it get depressing at UCD

Hey so UCD is a pretty chill and convenient and sober town i know that. But does it get depressing, not to rub it in if its true. I mean its got an awesome campus with awesome gym and food and the whole campus is so huge it feels like it swallows u. But that can be a negative cuz i imagine you can feel constrained. Further, downtown Davis and everything else to do is just a very close distance away so u never feel like u need to leave. I know u can just take ur car and just drive to sac town but i mean doesnt it FEEL constrained? Additionally, isnt the weather in that part of california or at least in Davis, a bit bleak and depressing. My point is, do these facts ever make it depressing? So the combination of feeling constrained, relatively somber weather, and the huge amounts of trees too on campus (all the shadows they create) - in the heart of winter at least - doesnt it get u down?

Well, all these things are personal preferences. I personally love every aspect of UC Moo-Town. I have a heart for everything at UCD, from the bugs that live there to the very cold and wet winters there. Only a few days left! Make a decision ^^. Good luck to you.

The weather isn't bleak or depressing at all. Sure, it rains in the winter, but that's a lot better than most of the country where it snows for most of the school year.

Sure, it may be sunnier more often in SoCal (though they get their fair share of rain in the winter, too), but there's also smog...

Actually, there's plenty of sunshine in Davis. See the chart below.

At UCD, it can get hotter than hell in the summmer and fall. It can also get very cold sometimes in the winter. Overall, the weather is pretty mild during the school year. However, with a total undergrad, graduate, and professional population of 30,000 or so people:

a huge campus, and challenging courses, you won't have a lot of time to get lonely or depressed; unless the hard courses make you depressed :-)

Hi everybody! :)
I am new here and I don
t know so much about highschools and how to get there. It
s a dream of mine to go to a good highschool like Yale or Harvard. But I live in Germany and it`s really hard to manage this. I mean my schoolfelows laugh about me, because of my dream. They say that I never manage that. And it cost so much, I will never get enough money.
Maybe someone of you can told me his story? Or just what I have to do for an offer?
