Evolution did not select for genius, it just selected against extreme stupidity. As long as you were smart enough to not get yourself killed before you reached reproductive age, then you had the ability to pass your genes onto the next generation. How often you got the opportunity to do so, however, was primarily based on beauty.

“Aren’t most good looking people kinda low on the whole intelligence thing?”

Nope. Not true.

Ok, but they sure are at my school.

Actually, most people in general at my school are low on the intelligence thing.

I thought beauty and intelligence correlated…at least in theory.

I thought they had an inverse relation. Ever stepped in an AP class? Not too many future Victoria’s Secret or GQ models.

Lol. Agreed.

Of course overprotective parents, medical advances and relatively low murder rates are working their hardest to reverse evolution [KIDDING. sort of.]

Anyway, humans generally select for beauty and intelligence equivalent to their own. So stupid ugly people marry stupid ugly people and have stupid ugly children, stupid pretty people couple and have stupid pretty children, and so on and so forth. In general [of course there are always exceptions]. In any case, the general populace doesn’t select for genius, unfortunately [we could’ve had a super-smart master race and colonized a couple planets by now if that had been the case].

/nonsensical ramble

^^ For some reason, I can’t believe that.

I have found no correlation either way. I do find an inverse correlation between intelligence and the amount of makeup one wears, but not an beauty and intelligence.

Then I should be at the top of my class, because I never wear makeup.

^Me either I don’t really know how to by myself lol

Me either. Got mascara in my eyes the other day. Never again.

Haha I always have people do it for me

I just go without. I don’t really care too much about what I look like.

I wish I didn’t lol. I pretty much never wear makeup because I look pretty hot without it but I do care what I look like

I’m not dumb but I wear makeup.

^^ I would care if it meant that I could get a guy, but it looks like that will never happen. So now I’ve just stopped caring.

^You don’t think you can get a guy? That’s unfortunate, especially if you think you’re “hot” without makeup. Confidence is hot too.

^ You know what else can get a guy? Boobs, a nice butt, and an open mind.
