Hello All!
I am a high school junior currently considering my options for colleges.
The UW is currently my #1 pick. I would love to pursue an undergraduate education in Bioengineering there, then (hopefully) go to grad school at the UW School of Medicine. It is in-state for me, and I would even be able to continue living at home with my parents. I would have virtually no undergrad debt.
But I am also considering options out-of state. I love Boston, and some of the colleges there seem like they would be a good fit (aside from the unbeatable UW in-state cost!).
I do have my heart set on doing medical school at the UW, though. It’s an excellent school and a great area, and I think Seattle definitely rivals Boston as my favorite city.
My question is this: if I do decide to go to Boston, does that hurt my chances of being accepted into UWMed later? One of the things I’ve heard again and again about the UW is that it cares for its own.
Could this be an issue for me in the future?
