Does this mean that I'm accepted???!!?

Okay so after six days of waiting for my letter of rejection/waitlist to come, I have yet to receive anything- until this morning, when I got an email that says as an accepted student at vanderbilt I should help the college by taking a survey. Still nothing in the mail but is this an indicator that I got in? Did anyone else get this email?

Here is the email.
Spring 2009

Dear XXXXXXX,

Selecting a college is a complex and time-consuming endeavor, and we appreciate the time and thoughtfulness in your application to Vanderbilt. As we end this year's admission cycle, we look to students we admitted to aid us in identifying critical factors in choosing a college. This information will help us communicate better with future prospective students.

Our Admitted Student Questionnaire is an on-line survey. Please click on the link below, and use your personalized access code and last name to provide us the feedback we seek. All responses will be kept in strictest confidence, and the survey should take only a few minutes of your time.

We appreciate your time in helping us make our communications to students even better. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (615) 322-2561 or (800) 288-0432.

Sincerely,

Please, call the admissions office and tell them you have not received either an acceptance or a rejection notice, and you would like to know. There are forms that need to be returned if you have been accepted.

I was admitted and I just got the same questionnaire. It sounds as though you’re in, but I’d DEFINITELY call Vandy to confirm.

Could be a trap.

Hello friends,

Although I can not confirm or discuss any specific decisions via CC, the email that was sent is a questionaire for admitted students. It is used entirely for internal research purposes.

The ASQ has no bearing whatsoever on the admissions process and the information is compiled by a different department.

To echo the earlier point. If you have not received anything in the mail, please contact our office.
