<p>@mezaruben: haha, just noticed your comment. HE, not she (teehee) did not take the ACT at all. he took on some AP classes, was captain of tennis team. nothing superb, and he got accepted (not through a sport scholarship or anything)</p>
<p>@OP, I just learned that UC San Diego is doing a combination between comprehensive and holistic reviews. Likely, this means that there will be a point cut off, but people who are below it can be accepted through the holistic review.</p>
<p>we will all know if we are admitted by the middle of March, so only 3 more weeks of waiting …</p>
