<p>My understanding is that the point system is only like 70% (I remember reading it somewhere on the UC website... but I could easily have it wrong so don't hold me to it) of the consideration.</p>

<p>remember the points you tally up for yourself and the points UCSD tallies up for you can be quite different. Its not that easy to guarentee yourself a spot. If it was, everyone would know for certain if they were in at UCSD or not. And clearly at a school this competitive, there are no guarentees.</p>
