<p>my counselor did go over the rules and b/c my parents are korean i myself explained the rules. But my counselor just said that i had to go the ED school, and did not say that i couldn't even apply anywhere else if i was accepted. and it is true that i self-interpreted the ED rules from NYU. it is pure my misunderstanding and mistake.</p>
<p>I did want to go to NYU very badly since it was a good school. I though my sat and gpa was too low for that school, so i didn't apply to one of the top schools in US. so i applied to see if i could get in to more selective schools so it turned out that i could. I am happy just with the results that i was a better applicant than i thought i was. Surely, if there is a safe loophole to attend Wash U, I would take it. But now knowing that there is no other way, I would let NYC be my next home for couple of years.</p>
