Saw this on SlickDeals and thought someone might be interested..

that is a sick deal

Whoa, thanks for the link. That looks like a very nice deal.

I got a used Microwave, Fridge, and TV for under $100, all work fine, get stuff used, you aren't going to be spending that much time in your dorm room.

But you might if you're not on campus. I think the deal's really nice for an off campus apartment.

Ugh, 20" TV? where the heck would you put it? Our rooms are some of the biggest I've seen at schools, and I can't imagine trying to work around a 20" tube TV.

Also, uber tiny fridge. But still I saw this in the flyer saturday and it is a pretty good deal.

I've only ever been in one dorm room ever that had a TV smaller than 20"... so I really have no clue what Lauren is talking about.

sweet thanks!

we had a 14" tv last year and that fit, but a 20" would never have fit. The back of the TV makes it way too big. Some people had big TVs but they were in the common rooms of suites or took up like the whole corner of a room. I have a 23" LCD now and that fits fine, but then again, it is flat and only weighs 13 lbs.

I have a 20" tv and it seems kind of big in the back, but according to the school's measurements of the armoire it will fit on top, so my tv will be kind of high up, but it will fit fine.

When I click on it, my add reads 199.99??

^ Yeah, but you save like $49 by clicking the last item...just read it and you'll see.

I had a 24" in my dorm before I moved out. It's really not that bad, your TV just looks HUGE. Also, I stacked my fridge and microwave, with one on top of the other (the microwave on top of course).

The deal sounds okay, but I've never heard of an Insignia TV. I guess for a college dorm it would be okay to get a store brand. I took a Sony that I got in 2004 that I plan on keeping for a long time. Much more expensive than the TV in that deal but if I can get a good 15-20 years out of it (my mom has a 27 year old TV in her bedroom that has never been in the shop) I've gotten my money's worth.

I'm not sure what the square foot on my fridge was, but 1.7 sounds pretty small. I have a Whirlpool that was $99 at Lowe's last year that I like since it will fit a carton of milk and has a freezer section (just big enough to make ice cubes and hold some tator tots, since I always could use some tots--they heat up nice in a toaster oven).

ha just picked it up from the store

i worked at best buy for 2 years, and that isn't even a good deal. you're getting the worst tv that they sell and also the worst microwave. they only bundled them together to attract uninformed and clueless new college students just because they need to get rid of them and you incoming freshmen have no idea what you're doing, hehe.

if you already bought it, oh well.

dude..its a microwave and it was 150 bones for three items.

But man....its a BAD mircrowave. It may take like...an extra five seconds to pop some popcorn.

dude, who CARES if it is the best? seriously, college students aren't looking to furnish their rooms like a five star hotel... and as long as the microwave and fridge does its job, its ALRIGHT for poor college students.

jeezus get some common sense (oops, you don't have any, you work at best buy!)
