Do you think it's a good idea to order stuff to go in your dorm from that magazine unc sent out? i am specifically wondering about the rug..do you think splitting the cost with my roomie for it would be a good idea?

I've heard the quality of the carpet/rug is very poor, and it doesn't hold up well during the year. I have a friend who ordered bedding from the NC State version of that magazine, and she described the comforter and sheets to me as feeling "really weird and cheap." LOL. It might be better just to get stuff at Target, etc. : )

i've already bought a set of twin size sheets- do you think they'll fit an extra long matress?

We have been told that if you get the deep pocket twin sheets they will fit an extra long mattress. Haven't tried this yet though.

what should we do about carpeting then?

GetOuttaBuffalo- I got an 8x10 rug/carpet at BJ's for $60. It's very durable and a nice neutral/beige color. Sam's Club and Costco probably have something similar. : )

BJs!! nice call!

My d is asking for a big flokati rug....horribly expensive but she is working and offering to pay for it. If anyone sees a good deal on an 8x10 flokati, please let me know.
