I'm debating between Wolman and A&B. I've pretty much crossed out the AMRs.

It seems Wolman has better facilities, but unlike A&B, is distant from the Freshmen Quad. Are better facilities worth trading off for closer freshmen interaction provided by geographic proximity?

Don’t rule out the AMR’s just yet. I, like you, wanted to live in A/B or Wolman but ended up in the AMR’s and it wasn’t bad at all. From what I’ve heard, the AMR’s are much more social than the other dorms and most people become really close with those around them.

The only thing for me is communal bathrooms. I have some… issues with that. So, Wolman and A&B are my choices. AMRs are pretty much crossed out, despite their social environment.

Honestly, communal bathrooms aren’t as bad as you think. That’s what scared me most but you get used to them. Yes, showering in a communal bathroom isn’t ideal but on the bright side, you don’t need to clean anything. In Wolman, A, and B, you have to clean everything yourself.

Yea, that’s what my parents said, and I spent a month ‘trying it out for myself’.

It sucked just as bad as I thought it would. All the doggone planning just for showers and shaving and this and that that I will not go into details over. It’s not worth every few days, week and/or every month of anxiety. I deal with enough stress just having to deal with that stuff alone.

Plus, I don’t like the idea of a routinely cleaned bathroom. Bathrooms should always be clean, whether I do it myself or not.

Exactly! Who knows how dirty the bathrooms will be in the evening or that high tide time directly between the routine cleanings. To know that dozens of people probably used that bathroom since the last time it was cleaned makes me anxious.
